Oman Private School opened its doors in 1977. As the very first private school in the Sultanate of Oman, OPS has transformed through the ages. The driving force behind our school is the perfect merging of modern education with Islamic traditions. Our goal is to motivate, guide and be instruments for our students to be leaders in the present and in the future.
As of 2018, we have implemented the International Baccalaureate program and we are currently in our second year of candidacy for the Primary Years Program and the Middle Years Program. As we move forward with the implementation of the IB program, our students have demonstrated tremendous success academically in their ability to think critically and communicate their learning. We encourage our students to not just answer questions, but to question answers. In addition, the IB Learner Profile attributes reflect many of the Islamic teachings that are at the core of our school community. These attributes have helped to further develop our students holistically as they transform into esteemed global citizens.
The future of Oman Private School is bright. Within the coming years, we aim to be an IB World School and relocate to our new state of the art building. We welcome you to join us on our journey as we prepare our learners today to be the leaders of tomorrow.
